Very soon we reach the development ‘The Stables’ Unspurprisingly there was a stables here associated with Sketchley Hall. Here was stabled, in 1921, Sunloch the 1914 Grand National Winner. Sadly when being exercised in a field off Chappells Drive he crossed his front legs and crashed to the ground breaking a forelock. Nothing could be done and the horse was put down in field.
